H I S T O R Y

The company Letecké přístroje Praha, s.r.o. (LPP, s.r.o., Flight Instruments Prague, Ltd.) has been established in January 1993. The founders were former employees of the MIKROTECHNA HOLEŠOVICE, a.s., producer of the electromechanical instruments, and AVIONICS DIVISION of Aeronautical Test and Research Institute Prague. The company has been founded by experienced specialists in development and production of electromechanical instruments and avionic systems. The owners structure remains up today unchanged - all shares are owned by 9 Czech persons. The important milestones are :

1993

Founding of the company, certification by CAA (Czech Aviation Authority) for production, service and testing of products for civil aviation. Moving of production capability of flight instruments from liquidated Mikrotechna Holešovice, a.s.

1994

Acquirement of Approval of Czech Industry and Trade Ministry for trade with military materials.

1994-1995

Launching of new products in areas: Advertising, Traffic Control, and Modernization of ground military vehicles.

1995-1996

The LPP has won in Czech MoD tender for delivery of components "Navigation" and "Diagnostics" for modernization of main battle tank T 72 M4 CZ

1996

New place of business: Pod Hájkem 406/1, Prague 8

1996-2000

Number of the contracts for variable traffic signs on highway crosses and other places in Czech Republic

2001

New seminertial ground navigation system with FOG has been developed

2002

Start of the serial deliveries NBV-72 and DITA 72/97B systems for modernization of MBT T 72 M4 CZ

2003

Acquirement of Approval POA (Production Organisation Approval) according to regulation JAR 21 Part G

2004

The company have been assessed and registrated against quality assurance standard ISO 9001:2000 by Moody International Certification

2006

The company has been assessed and registrated against quality assurance standard ČSN ISO 9001:2001 and ČOS 051622 (AQAP 2110) by Defense Standardization, Codification and Government Quality Assurance Authority

2007

Contract with STEYR-DAIMLER-PUCH Spezialfahrzeuge GmbH for delivery of components CDU-BVIS, DDU-BVIS and DIAG for wheeled AIFV PANDUR II 8x8 for Czech Army has been completed. Developement of the components has been finished, start of the first serial deliveries.
